Envy’s life was great. Great brother, great boyfriend, and the best job a girl could ask for… tending bar at the most popular clubs in the city. At least it was great until she got a call from one of her best friends about her boyfriend doing the vertical limbo on the dance floor at Moon Dance. Her decision to confront him begins a chain of events that will introduce her to a dangerous paranormal world hidden beneath the everyday humdrum. A world where people can transform into jaguars, real life vampires roam the streets, and fallen angels walk among us.
Devon is a werejaguar, a little rough around the edges and one of the joint owners of Moon Dance. His world is tilted on its axis when he spies an alluring vixen with red hair dancing in his club, armed with a cynical heart and a taser. With a vampire war raging around them, Devon vows to make this woman his… and will fight like hell to have her.

First of all, there are a lot of GREAT characters in this series. For those who cannot, or don't want to, let themselves be absorbed by this extraordinary world of family, love, passion and danger, I feel pity for you. You didn't give in and become a part of this world Amy has created. You truly missed out on an AMAZING series. I was a bit intimidated for a short time, NOT disappointed, by the amount of characters AT FIRST. But the basic story line of this series kept me enthralled. This series is written so well that as I read I began to "know" all of these characters like they were my own family. Every character is wonderful in his or her own way. This series is NEVER boring, and I miss my "fantasy family" world as soon as I'm done with one book before I get to start the next book in the series. One book transitions flawlessly into the next. There are basically 2 families at the heart of this series. The werecougars and the werejaguars. They've been estranged since an incident that happened years ago ( hence the prologue ). Well, the incident comes to light and good things happen! :-) There are friends of these families included in this story, 3 "good" vampires and 2 "fallen". Not that complicated people. 8D. I LOVE the fact that Amy keeps everyone involved in the story, this way you don't have to "let go" of your favorite characters....they're still included and you'll still get to read about them and know how & what they're doing!!
Amy adds characters and situations gradually throughout the series. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to catch on and keep up. I don't want to spoil anything for a new reader to this series but another reviewer already mentioned a demon. Well, THAT is one of the "situations" that Amy gradually adds to her story. That other reviewer also insinuated that the reader is bombarded with all this information too quickly. That is not accurate.
I am an avid reader of paranormal romance books. THIS series is one of my absolute FAVORITES!!!! I'm ECSTATIC that I found this series and gave it a chance. This series is severely underrated and I wish more fans of paranormal romance would give it a read!!
There is passion, love, dedication, jealousy, devotion, anger, danger and some great humor in this series. Everything a GREAT paranormal romance series should have. I just cannot say enough about this series. It has captured my heart and I am in it till the last book written.

Moon Dance Blood Bound Book 1 edition by Amy Blankenship R K Melton Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Moon Dance is the first book of the Blood Bound series by Amy Blankenship, and was such a fast and fun read. I read the book quickly and moved on to the others. You will not want to miss this one or any of the others. At first I had trouble keeping up from one storyline to another because there are so many characters (all of which I love). But once you get use to that it's game on. You will not be disappointed)
I wasn't even going to review this book, but then I decided it might help others to decide about this series(even though I'm not even sure. The first book was probably the most confusing book I have yet to read. So many characters and stories going on all l different directions made it very difficult to determine who was who and what they were and if they were friends, enemies or what. I think it took reading half the book before I was even close to being caught up. I found finally finished and after lots of thought, decided to give the series one more try with the second book. If it turns out like the first, it will be the last one for me.
Very creative and different kind of story. Though, at the same time, it's a bit distracting to find such obvious misuse of "then" for "than" and "wondering" for "wandering." Still, I find that the story is so cohesive and well thought out that it deserves the best rating. In the world of anime, fantasy, and romance, it's definitely one of the best. I especially enjoyed the humor in the book a lot.
This is the first of the series about shapeshifters and vampires. Will definitely look forward to the stories of the other hot men in the story. But it'd be even better if editing would improve.
I really wanted to like this book. Someone on one of the reading threads I belong to recommended it and usually I am glad that I bought the books that are recommended. This book, unfortunately, is one of the few exceptions
What I liked I enjoyed reading about the main characters. Alex, the hero, was faithful and felt possessive towards Envy, the heroine. She had other admirers and so there are some jealousy scenes, which again, I like. Also, Envy was likable. She did not have a bad attitude that some heroines do. Also she did not whine and was able to take care of herself.
What I disliked. If the book had just been about the two main characters, H & h, with a few supporting characters, I would have loved it the book. Unfortunately it was not. There were so many characters that I could not keep track of who they were. There were many points of view. It took awhile for the H & h to be introduced. Because the book dragged in parts and had too many characters, after awhile, I only read the parts where the H & h were involved in a scene. I read samples of the next two books in the series and again, way too many characters. I will not be reading any of the other books in the series.
Fallen Angels, Vampires and Shifters.... oh my!
Moon Dance is a paranormal wonderland, that is not to be missed. Creatures of the night and of the heavens roam the pages of this story. A delightful read with dark seductive scenes that suck you in. This story is filled with betrayal, revenge, finding new life and love. An addicting read, I had a hard time putting it down. One of the things I loved about this book was that there were several different story lines going on, but that they were all connected in one way or another. I have read previous stories by Blankenship & Melton but this latest one is by far my favorite.
Moon Dance is the first in the Blood Bound series.
This book is amazing. Not only does it incorporate my love of romance, action, and paranormal it also provides various romance couples for about every fantasy of mine. It is easy to put myself in the book with any of the characters. They come to life and become a part of me and I become truly invested in what happens next. I can't say enough for how well written the book is and how the author simply gets me. ) A must read!
